WEST PIKELAND TWP — West Pikeland Township, Pennsylvania, is launching "Sustainable Saturdays," a series of events aimed at promoting sustainability and energy efficiency in homes. Organized by the Environmental Advisory Council (EAC) and the Chester Springs Library, the initiative offers informative sessions covering various sustainable systems and practices, empowering residents to make their homes more eco-friendly and cost-effective. Key sessions include PECO Home Energy Assessments, Geothermal Heat Pump Systems, Rain Gardens, Native Plantings, and Solar and Battery Backup Systems, scheduled from April through September 2024.

Brandywine Valley SPCA's Walk for Paws: A Day of Joy and Purpose in Support of Animal Welfare

WEST CHESTER — The Brandywine Valley SPCA invites the community to its annual Walk for Paws event on April 27, 2024, at West Goshen Community Park. Featuring activities such as a 5K color run, pet costume contest, and yoga with puppies, the event aims to raise awareness and funds for the organization's mission of rescuing and rehoming animals in need. East Brandywine Township Invites Community to 'Fore the Park' Golf Outing

EAST BRANDYWINE TWP — East Brandywine Township is gearing up for its annual "Fore the Park" Golf Outing, an event designed to bring together community members for a day of golf, fun, and philanthropy. Hosted at the Honey Brook Golf Club on May 15, 2024, the outing promises participants an enjoyable day on the greens, with opportunities to win prizes for the longest drive, closest to the pin, and top foursome in the scramble format.

Following the golfing action, attendees will be treated to a lunch featuring a variety of dishes, desserts, and beverages, providing the perfect opportunity for networking and relaxation. Additionally, individuals and companies are encouraged to support the event through sponsorship or by donating door prizes, with all proceeds earmarked for the planning and construction of a new All Abilities Playground.

The Parks Golf Outing offers a comprehensive registration package priced at $125 per person, covering greens fees, access to the driving range, lunch, a goodie bag, snacks, beverages, and the chance to win exciting prizes. Registration is open to both individuals and groups of up to four golfers, with online registration available for added convenience.
