Coatesville Finalizes Three-Year Agreement with Firefighters Union

COATESVILLE, PA — The City of Coatesville and the Coatesville Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 3790 have successfully negotiated a three-year labor agreement, covering January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2026. The contract, signed at the City Council meeting on May 13, 2024, follows a recent ordinance centralizing fire personnel and equipment. It includes retroactive and future pay raises for full-time firefighters, the transition of part-time firefighters to full-time roles, and the recruitment of additional full-time staff. Key terms of the agreement also emphasize collaborative operational planning and internal promotions. West Pharmaceutical Services Invests $150,000 in Downingtown Students

DOWNINGTOWN, PA — The Downingtown Area School District has received a $150,000 grant from West Pharmaceutical Services to support the BRIDGES program, which provides additional academic support and mentoring to elementary students. The program pairs teachers and high school students with younger students and will be funded for the next three years. Chester County Hot Air Balloon Festival Returns Father's Day Weekend
