Memorial Day Parade and Services to Honor Veterans in Downingtown

DOWNINGTOWN, PA — Downingtown will honor Memorial Day with a parade starting at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 27, and a subsequent service at the Veterans’ Memorial in Kerr Park. To facilitate the event, parking on Pennsylvania Avenue between Lloyd Avenue and Wallace Avenue will be prohibited from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Vehicles in violation will be ticketed and towed. Street closures will begin at 8:30 a.m. around Beaver Creek School and extend to Pennsylvania Avenue and nearby side streets at 9:30 a.m. Streets will reopen as the parade progresses, though Pennsylvania Avenue from Manor Avenue to Wallace Avenue and Park Lane will remain closed until the services conclude.

Kennett Square to Host Bilingual Memorial Day Parade and Tribute Events

KENNETT SQUARE, PA — Kennett Square will host their Memorial Day Parade on May 27. The parade begins at 10 a.m. and will feature bilingual announcements. The day includes tribute ceremonies, lunches for veterans, and a memorial ceremony. Free parking and shuttle services are available.

West Bradford Seeks Public Help with Vandalism Investigation

WEST BRADFORD TWP — In response to recent vandalism at Broad Run Park, which took place between May 23 and May 24, 2024, West Bradford Township has issued a $2,500 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrators. Iconic Budweiser Clydesdales Draw Crowd in West Chester

WEST CHESTER, PA — The Budweiser Clydesdales attracted around 15,000 people to West Chester on Thursday. The iconic horses, along with a Dalmatian and an old-fashioned beer wagon, delighted the crowd. Introduced in 1933 to celebrate the end of Prohibition, the Clydesdales have since become a symbol of the Budweiser brand, appearing in numerous commercials and public events.

Volunteers Collect 25 Bags of Trash in Caln Township Cleanup

CALN TWP — Caln Township's cleanup crew commenced the holiday weekend with a successful effort to clear North Bailey Road, gathering 25 bags of trash, a car bumper, a rain boot, over 20 golf balls, and three tires. The initiative was supported by Public Works employees Larry and Matt, who ensured the safety of volunteers on the busy road. Helen, Brett, and Sam were awarded Clean Up Crew car magnets for their continued participation, while first-time volunteer Becky received a sticker. The township announced four more cleanup events scheduled for this year, with a return to North Bailey Road planned.
