West Chester Man Pleads Guilty to Sexual Assault on Flight

PHILADELPHIA — Edward Decker, a 46-year-old man from West Chester, PA, has pleaded guilty to abusive sexual contact on an aircraft. The incident took place on July 29, 2022, during an American Airlines flight from San Diego to Philadelphia. According to court documents, Decker inappropriately touched a sleeping minor who was seated nearby. The minor awoke to find Decker’s hands and face under her clothes.

U.S. Attorney Jacqueline C. Romero stressed the seriousness of the case, noting the importance of ensuring the safety of all passengers, especially minors, on flights. FBI Special Agent Wayne A. Jacobs highlighted the bureau’s commitment to prosecuting such crimes and encouraged passengers to report any incidents to flight crews and the FBI.

Decker is scheduled to be sentenced on September 23, 2024, and could face a maximum sentence of three years in prison. The investigation was conducted by the FBI and prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Josh A. Davison.

Impostor Amazon Employee Caught Stealing Package in Chester County

WEST BRADFORD, PA — The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a theft on Thorndale Road* in Chester County, where a suspect, impersonating an Amazon employee, stole a package shortly after its delivery. According to the authorities, the package containing four iPhones was delivered by FedEx and subsequently taken by the suspect, who was caught on the homeowner's porch camera.

The footage from the security camera is aiding the investigation. The police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the individual responsible for the theft. Those with information are encouraged to contact PSP Embreeville.
