Participate in Chester County's Survey on Comprehensive Plan
CHESTER COUNTY, PA โ Chester County is currently gathering public feedback on its comprehensive plan, Landscapes3, which is now at its mid-point. To ensure the plan continues to meet community needs and priorities, the county has launched a brief survey for residents to provide their input. The feedback collected will help shape the direction of Landscapes3 for the next five years. Residents are encouraged to take a few minutes to complete the survey, which is available here.
Chester County's Town Tours and Village Walks Program Kicks off in West Chester
WEST CHESTER, PA โ The Town Tours and Village Walks program, now in its 30th year, continues to celebrate historic preservation across Chester County. This free summer program will highlight the preservation achievements of various municipalities, featuring individual structures, villages, and key landscapes. The 2024 series kicks off on June 6 at the Chester County History Center and wraps up on August 15 at Yellow Springs. The success of this initiative is attributed to the dedicated efforts of partners and volunteers.
The opening event on June 6 in West Chester will coincide with the town's 225th anniversary, offering multiple walking tours that trace the borough's evolution from its origins as the Quaker farming village of Turk's Head to its present-day status as a thriving residential, business, and educational hub. Registration is available on-site, with parking provided at the garage on 14 E. Chestnut Street and other metered locations. Doors open at 5:00 p.m., with the kickoff event beginning at 5:30 p.m., immediately followed by the tours.
