Chester County Honors Fallen Officers in Solemn Memorial Service

WEST CHESTER, PA — At the Chester County Law Enforcement Memorial Service, ten fallen officers were honored, marking Law Enforcement Week. The event, attended by over 100 individuals, highlighted the bravery and sacrifices of these officers. District Attorney Chris de Barrena-Sarobe and other officials emphasized the heroism and courage required in the profession. The ceremony included a Roll Call of Heroes, traditional honors, and calls for stronger protections for law enforcement officers.
Firefighters Rescue Man Trapped Under Vehicle in Chester County Crash
TREDYFFRIN TOWNSHIP, PA — Firefighters in Chester County rescued a man trapped under a vehicle following a crash on Hilltop Road. Utilizing specialized equipment, emergency responders carefully extricated the man, who was then taken to the hospital. His condition is currently unknown, and the cause of the accident remains under investigation. See the video here
West Chester Porchfest: Boro To Be Filled With Music and Community
WEST CHESTER, PA — The West Chester Porchfest, an annual event organized by the West Chester Green Team, will be held on Saturday, May 18, from 1:00 to 7:00 PM. Designed to build community spirit and promote environmental awareness, Porchfest is a free event where attendees can enjoy live music on the historic porches of the southwest quadrant of the borough.
In addition to musical performances, the festival will feature food trucks, children's activities, and educational booths on topics such as dark skies, pollinator gardens, and native plants. These initiatives are part of West Chester's efforts as a Transition Town, aiming to foster sustainable living practices and community resilience.

6 ABC Features Downingtown’s TCHS Program for Aspiring Content Creators
DOWNINGTOWN, PA — Highlighted recently by 6 ABC, the Digital Media and Sound Communication program at Technical College High School (TCHS) is shaping the future of aspiring media professionals. Serving students in grades 10-12, the program provides comprehensive training in animation, sound mixing, and video production, utilizing industry-standard equipment to ensure students are well-prepared for careers in multimedia.
Led by Professor Jamie Brown, the program emphasizes a personalized approach to education, fostering strong connections between students and instructors. This supportive learning environment allows students to engage in various projects, such as creating short films and mixing music tracks, gaining invaluable practical experience.
One standout student, Israel Peterson, has significantly advanced his music production skills through the program, reflecting the high level of training provided. The program's success is evident in the enthusiasm and expertise of its students.
