This event, recorded in December 2023 by the Willistown Conservation Trust, highlights the effectiveness of nearly three decades of dedicated habitat preservation in the Ridley, Crum, and Darby creek watersheds. The presence of the otter, a species requiring a robust and healthy ecosystem to thrive, suggests that conservation efforts in southeastern Chester County are having a positive impact on local biodiversity and water quality.
