Westtown Township Retail Heist: Police on the Hunt for Local Suspect
The Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department is actively investigating a retail theft that occurred at the Rite-Aid on West Chester Pike on March 8, 2024. The suspect, captured in an image, made off with over $2300.00 worth of over-the-counter medications. Authorities suspect the individual to be a local resident based on prior retail theft investigations involving him. Tips and information are requested from the public to aid in the ongoing investigation.
The Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department is urging anyone with relevant information to come forward. Coatesville Tragedy: 28-Year-Old Amere Naylor Identified as Victim in Friday Night Shooting
Coatesville authorities are probing a deadly shooting that claimed the life of 28-year-old Amere Naylor on March 8. The incident occurred on the 700 block of East Diamond Street just before 8 p.m. Police are urging anyone with information to contact them at 610-384-2300 or utilize the Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line.

This lively event will see the closure of four blocks from Matlack Street to Darlington Street every weekend, spanning from Friday, May 3, to Sunday, Sept. 29. Running from each Friday morning through Monday morning, the open-air market promises a delightful blend of experiences. Opportunity Alert: Pennsylvania Catalyst Loan Fund Still Accepting Applications for Business Projects
The Chester County Economic Development Council is urging Pennsylvania businesses to apply for the Pennsylvania Catalyst Loan Fund, which still has approximately $1.4 million available from its original $20 million allocation. Administered by the council, the state-funded program offers businesses a chance to obtain a fixed interest rate of 5.5%. Launched in September 2022, the fund caters to nine counties, providing small balance loans ranging from $50,000 to $500,000 for various projects. Businesses are encouraged to apply promptly, as funds are limited. Loan terms are up to five years, and a match with a partner lender is required, with borrowers contributing up to 20% equity.
