Jealousy Unleashed: Trial Begins for Accused East Vincent Man in Downingtown Murder

Leroy Brahm

The trial of Leroy "Lee" Brahm III began this week in Common Pleas Court, with the East Vincent man facing charges in the December 2021 murder of his girlfriend, Annabelle Meenan. Prosecutors allege a series of brutal beatings, captured on video, driven by Brahm's jealousy. The defense argues Meenan's death resulted from intoxication rather than the assaults. The trial is expected to last the week.

Philadelphia Resident Admits Orchestrating Multi-County Gun Trafficking Scheme

Larry B. Williams, the alleged ringleader of a multi-county gun trafficking network, pleaded guilty to charges related to illegal firearm acquisition through straw purchases. The confession came just before his trial. Williams faces a potential 25 to 50 years in prison. The investigation revealed the network's goal of distributing firearms to ineligible individuals, with 94 guns successfully acquired and 23 attempts across eight counties.

Protect Your Home: West Bradford Fire Co. Issues Safety Notice on Exterior Outlets

The West Bradford Fire Co. issues a crucial Public Safety Announcement, highlighting concerns related to exterior GFI or GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) receptacles. Recent incidents attended by WBFC revealed instances where these seemingly weather-resistant receptacles, installed on the exterior of homes or buildings, were compromised by water penetration. One incident resulted in a receptacle catching fire, causing damage to the dwelling.

While another incident suggested moisture in the box, this was not officially confirmed. In response, WBFC strongly urges residents to proactively inspect and replace their exterior GFCI receptacles and associated boxes. They recommend engaging the services of a qualified electrician if necessary to ensure these receptacles are water-resistant. As an additional safety measure, residents are advised to consider placing these exterior receptacles on a GFCI breaker in the electrical panel.

Accompanying the announcement are photos displaying the actual receptacles removed from the exterior boxes, emphasizing the tangible risks associated with these incidents. The community is reminded to exercise extra caution during winter, particularly when utilizing auxiliary heat sources like space heaters, wood or pellet stoves, and similar devices.
