Santa Claus is Coming To Downingtown!

Downingtown Fire Department's annual Santa Claus tour, led by Tower 45 and Engine 46, is set for Saturday, December 16, 2023. The route covers West Ward, Johnsontown, Sunnybrook, Norwood House Apartments, Woodmont North Apartments, and the East Ward in the morning. Engine 46 takes over mid-morning, and the tour concludes in East Caln Township in the mid-to-late afternoon. Candy canes will be distributed to all, making it a festive event for all ages.

Parkesburg Tragedy: Housefire claims a life Tuesday Night

One person has died in a house fire in Chester County Tuesday night. The fire department responded to the 300 block of West First Avenue in Parkesburg around 9:50 p.m. It is unclear how the fire started and no other details have been released at this time.
