Fatal Wreck on Route 401: Passenger Identified in Tragic Incident

In a tragic incident near Moores Road on Route 401, Sandra L. Jenkins of Exton was identified as the passenger who lost her life in a wreck involving a 2002 Toyota. The driver, 61-year-old Russell Jenkins, sustained injuries and was treated by Uwchlan Ambulance Corps. The state police report revealed that Russell was charged with careless driving, although as of Tuesday, Dec. 5, no case records were available on the state website.

East Caln Township Invites Public Review of 2024 Budget Proposal

Judge Recuses Himself in Vandalism Case

Takeisha Landry, the driver involved, has returned from Charlotte, North Carolina, for the court proceedings. The incident occurred when Landry was pulled over by Sergeant Anthony Sparano for a traffic violation. Sparano allegedly fired a shot at Landry's car as she drove away. The Chester County District Attorney's Office charged Sparano with assault and shooting into an occupied vehicle, contending that the use of deadly force was not justified. Racial justice organization, the Racial Justice Network, is advocating for upgraded charges, calling attention to the use of deadly force against Black women by the police.

Police Investigate Alleged $1,300 Theft at West Whiteland Whole Foods

The West Whiteland Township Police Department is currently looking into a reported theft of $1,300 at the local Whole Foods store on November 20, 2023. The suspect, a male initially wearing a hat and glasses, later left the store without them, revealing a distinctive hairstyle with shaved sides and a "man bun."
