Chester County Bar Association To Host Veterans Day Celebration in Downtown West Chester
Chester County Bar Association to host Veterans Day Celebration in downtown West Chester, featuring Congresswoman Chrissy Houlahan as the Guest of Honor. The event includes military flyovers, musical performances by West Chester University's marching band, and a musket salute by Revolutionary War Reenactors. A post-ceremony Reception at the Chester County History Center is open to the public.

Assault Charges For 19-Year-Old in South High Street Incident
In a disturbing incident on the 500 block of South High Street, investigators have charged 19-year-old Samuel A. Makowski with assaulting a driver both inside and outside the vehicle around 2 a.m. The charges include strangulation, aggravated assault, simple assault, and other related counts. Following his arrest, Makowski was remanded to the Chester County lockup, where he awaits a court appearance scheduled for November 21.
Community Warehouse Project Benefits from "Women Supporting Families" Event at West Chester Golf & Country Club
The West Chester Golf & Country Club is hosting a Ladies Dance Party on November 15th, running from 6 to 9 pm. Priced at $100, the ticket offers attendees an evening filled with unlimited dancing, an open bar, a dinner buffet, and holiday shopping. All funds generated from the event will be directed towards supporting the Community Warehouse Project. Wrap Up the Camping Season at Hibernia Park This Weekend
The upcoming weekend, November 10th to 12th, marks the final opportunity to camp at Hibernia Park for the year. While individual camping at Hibernia Park concludes for the season, group camping remains a year-round option at Hibernia Park, Nottingham Park, and Warwick Park. West Whiteland Township Breaks Ground on State-of-the-Art Public Works Facility
West Whiteland Township Supervisors, accompanied by staff and contractors, celebrated the groundbreaking of a much-anticipated public works facility at 121 Valley Creek Boulevard on November 8. The 39,000 square foot facility aims to replace and consolidate the Township's three outdated buildings, fostering operational efficiency, teamwork, and shared equipment usage. The project, funded through various sources, will provide covered storage for vehicles and equipment, extending their lifespan and reducing repair costs. The Township's long-term planning and collaboration with partners have paved the way for this essential development.
Deck the Halls: Caln Township Holiday Decorating Contest Lights Up the Community
Caln Township Parks and Recreation, in collaboration with Hatt's True Value Hardware, announces a holiday decorating contest open to all residents. Participants have the chance to win in categories such as "Best Use of Lawn Ornaments" and "Best Multimedia," with a $50 gift card as the prize. Registration is free, and houses will be judged on December 13th from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Last year's winners are ineligible to win in the same category but are encouraged to participate and be featured on the admiration map.
