Empowering Coatesville: OIC Program Graduates Students, Beautifies Community

Seven Coatesville students recently completed the OIC Youth Leadership and Discovery Program, culminating in their graduation after a three-week mentorship. The program not only involved the students in picking up trash along the city streets but also provided them with essential life skills education in workforce preparation, conflict resolution, and diversity awareness.

The students shared their experiences, expressing their enthusiasm for contributing to a cleaner community and their gratitude for the opportunities provided. One of the OIC labor resource associates, David Day, emphasized the students' dedication to giving back and their boundless potential when combining their talents with education.

DASD Welcomes Philadelphia Eagles' Sydney Brown for Homelessness Awareness

Philadelphia Eagles' Sydney Brown is set to lead a homelessness awareness session at Downingtown Area School District, sharing his inspiring journey from homelessness to the NFL. The event, organized by the Department of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, offers free admission to the public but charges $20 for photos/autographs. Registration is required through TicketLeap.

West Chester University's 'RamTHON' Dance Party Generates $41,000 in Support of CHOP

West Chester University students raised $41,000 through the 'RamTHON' dance party, a 35% increase from last year, to support the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. The event, featuring dance, games, and personal stories from CHOP, was organized by the student-led Dance Marathon group and aids CHOP's Child Life Department.
