Two Unionville High School students won T-Mobile's Changemaker Challenge with their eco-friendly invention, the Go Green Filter. This innovative device, aimed at curbing carbon emissions, uses algae to convert CO2 to O2 in car exhaust systems, reducing emissions significantly. They aim for wider adoption and a substantial reduction in carbon emissions.

Firefighters Contain Car Blaze Near Exton Bypass Intersection

Around 9:30 a.m., a car fire broke out just north of the Exton Bypass close to Bartlett Avenue, as reported by the Fire Company. Images taken at the site displayed significant flames emanating from the vehicle's tire wells and undercarriage, with a substantial column of black smoke rising into the sky. Firefighters managed the situation and controlled traffic while extinguishing the fire. By 10:30 a.m., the scene was cleared, and fortunately, no injuries were reported by the authorities.

West Whiteland Township Unveils Revised Traffic Layout at Ship Rd and Lincoln Hwy

A new traffic pattern is set to open on November 7 at Ship Road and Lincoln Highway. Southbound Ship Road traffic will be redirected onto a new road right after the Chester Valley Trail, with distinct traffic signals for Lincoln Highway's eastbound and westbound traffic to merge onto the new southbound Ship Road. The existing signal for southbound Ship Road will be inaccessible. The new road runs only southbound from south of Swedesford Road at the Chester Valley Trail to north of the U.S. 30 Bypass.

Mariner East Pipeline in Exton Undergoes Repair for Underground Anomaly

The Mariner East pipeline has resumed digging to address an underground anomaly near Exton Station, as identified during routine maintenance. Repair efforts are underway using a clockspring to fix the issue, expected to be completed by November 8. While the Public Utility Commission confirmed the work's normalcy, concerns remain about the safety implications.
