Downingtown Auction House to Facilitate PA Unclaimed Property Auction
The Pennsylvania Treasury's latest unclaimed property auction, a two-day online event, is set to begin with over 4,000 items available for bidding. The auction, facilitated by Pook & Pook, Inc., features an array of valuable items, including early baseball tobacco cards, jewelry, coins, and collectibles. Proceeds from sold items remain available for the rightful owners to claim, and the Treasury aims to return over $4.5 billion in unclaimed property.
The entire auction is conducted online through pookandpook.com. Those who wish to participate can visit the website to sign up and get a sneak peek at the items available.
Downingtown Man Arrested in Santander Bank Robbery, With Mom in Car
In a bank robbery at Santander Bank, Haverford Township Police initially reported that two suspects were in custody. However, further investigation revealed that only one of the suspects was involved in the robbery. Glen Allen Mokshefski, a 56-year-old from Downingtown, was charged with robbery, theft, and receiving stolen property, while his mother, who was also in the car, was released as she had no connection to the crime. The incident occurred at the bank on Township Line Road, and the suspect had fled in a gray sedan, which was later stopped by the police.
