Firefighters Quickly Subdue House Fire on Ship Road

WEST WHITELAND — Yesterday at 6:38 PM, a house fire was reported in the 1400 block of Ship Road, West Whiteland, drawing a swift response from various local fire companies and emergency services. The initial sight of flames from the house's rear prompted immediate action, with the first arriving engine, Engine 56, deploying a line to combat the fire. Support from additional fire companies from Goshen, East Brandywine, Lionville, and First West Chester, along with Uwchlan EMS and Chester County Fire Marshals, helped in controlling the fire promptly. Efforts included fire suppression, search operations, and structural ventilation. The scene was scaled down quickly after the fire was controlled, with most units clearing the scene and only West Whiteland remaining to finish the operations.

Upland Farm Barn Sets Stage for Summer Concerts Starting This Mother’s Day

UPPER UWCHLAN — On May 12, Upland Farm Barn will begin its Summer Music Concert Series with a special Mother's Day event featuring performances by Emily Drinker and Ethan Cain. The event, located at 301 Pottstown Pike, Chester Springs, encourages guests to bring their own seating and enjoy the early summer ambiance. Food and beverages will be available from the Epicurean Garage food truck starting at 4:30 PM, with the music beginning at 5 PM. A unique floral gift from Topiary 219 Floristry will be given to mothers in attendance. Given the limited parking availability, carpooling or walking is recommended.
