I'm 63 With $1.5M. Can I Spend $10K a Month?

You’ve saved $1.5 million. Now comes the real test.

Can it produce $10,000 a month, or will that pace drain your portfolio?

Most retirees do not get a clear answer until it is too late.

The issue is not just how much you have. It is whether your portfolio was built to pay you, not just grow.

That difference can determine whether your money lasts decades or starts breaking down early.

Sequence of returns, taxes on withdrawals, healthcare costs, and whether the 4% rule still applies all play a role.

Fiduciary advisors created a breakdown showing what drives sustainable income and why the same $1.5M can produce very different outcomes.

If you have $1M or more invested, do not guess.

A Child's Light Expands Rapid-Response Trauma Care With New Funding

DOWNINGTOWN, PA β€” A Downingtown nonprofit focused on youth trauma care, A Child's Light, has been awarded a $6,500 grant through the Westfield Legacy of Caring Program, following a nomination from Miller's Insurance Agency. The grant was presented July 20 at the agency's Downingtown office.

The organization addresses long wait times for subsidized youth mental health services in Chester County β€” often several months β€” by paying a network of more than 100 trauma-informed therapists directly, enabling children to start treatment in as little as five days. The new funding will cover an initial 12 sessions, about three months of care, for children dealing with issues such as grief, abandonment and abuse.

Founder and Executive Director Leslie Holt said the grant would make a real difference for the children served. Miller's Insurance Agency, whose leadership emphasized the community-wide importance of youth mental health, selected the nonprofit through Westfield's agency-directed giving program, which has supported family-stabilizing organizations since 2015.

Chester County Commissioners Proclaim National Farmers Market Week

WEST CHESTER, PA β€” The Chester County Commissioners have officially proclaimed National Farmers Market Week, running August 2 through 8, in recognition of the county's farmers markets and their contributions to local food access, agricultural business and community well-being. The proclamation was presented during a July 16 public meeting to Carrie Harkness of the West Chester Growers Market and Jordan Peek of AgConnect, representing the 10 markets featured in the 2026 Chester County Farm Guide and the AgConnect Farmers Market Trail Map.

Observed annually during the first full week of August, National Farmers Market Week highlights how farmers markets support local food systems, public health and economic development. In Chester County, the markets create direct connections between farms and consumers while expanding access to fresh produce, meats, dairy and other locally sourced goods.
