PA Turnpike Interchange Reopens Following Demolition Mishap
DOWNINGTOWN, PA โ The Downingtown Interchange on the Pennsylvania Turnpike reopened Wednesday night after being closed for hours when a canopy over toll booths collapsed during demolition work. No injuries were reported in the incident, which occurred at Exit 312. Crews worked to remove debris before reopening the interchange at 8:30 p.m.
Coatesville Man Held in Stabbing of 3-Month-Old Son

COATESVILLE, PA โ Coatesville police arrested a local father Wednesday morning after responding to a disturbing incident involving a critically injured infant. Officers were called to an apartment complex in the 2000 block of Smithbridge Drive around 11:30 a.m. for reports of a stabbing.
Upon arrival, police took Michael Phillips into custody, accusing him of stabbing his 3-month-old son in the abdomen. According to authorities, Phillips then carried the wounded infant outside and abandoned him in the snow during freezing weather conditions.
The baby was found in very serious condition and required emergency medical transport by helicopter to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. As of Wednesday afternoon, the infant was undergoing surgery to address the injuries. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not disclosed what led to the violent incident or whether additional charges are pending.
West Whiteland Police Seek Help Identifying CVS Theft Suspects

EXTON, PA โ West Whiteland Township police are seeking help identifying two people suspected of theft at a CVS pharmacy in Exton. The incident occurred at the store on West Lincoln Highway, and authorities have released surveillance images. Anyone with information is asked to contact Officer Emig at [email protected].

UWCHLAN TWP โ Uwchlan Township welcomed two new leaders in early 2026. Larasz Moody was sworn in as a Board of Supervisors member on January 5, followed by James Fisher, who became the township's new police chief on February 9. Both ceremonial swearing-ins were held at the township building.
