Downingtown Local Pulse Dinner Club: Meet Your Neighbors Over Dinner!

Downingtown Local Pulse is more than a newsletter. It's how we bring locals together offline, too. That's why we're launching the Downingtown Local Pulse Dinner Club, hosted by our friends at dnnr.io.

We know making new friends as an adult isn't easy. This is a fun, low-pressure way to meet people nearby who share your interests and values.

Here's how it works:

🍽️ Take a quick personality quiz.

✨ Get matched with five other locals based on shared interests, values, food preferences and budget.

📍 Meet for dinner on Tuesday, Oct. 13 at [TIME] at a restaurant in or around Downingtown. We'll reveal it the morning of.

🥂 After dinner, all tables regroup at a nearby spot for a casual meetup.

💵 Booking is $15.99, and it supports Downingtown Local Pulse.
🍝 Each guest pays for their own meal.

Seats are limited, so grab yours soon.

👉 Take the quiz and book your seat at chescopulse.dnnr.io

Got questions? Drop a note in the chat bubble at the bottom right of the Dinner Club page, and the team will help you out.

We can't wait to see who you'll meet, and the connections you'll leave with! 💙

Toys for Tots Collection Opens at Downingtown Borough Hall

DOWNINGTOWN, PA — The 2026 Toys for Tots campaign opened Oct. 1, with Downingtown Borough Hall serving as a local drop-off site. Residents can leave new, unwrapped toys in the lobby through Dec. 9 during regular office hours, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The drive is run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve and coordinated locally through its Chester and Montgomery Counties chapter. Donated toys go to children in the community for the holidays.

3 stock symbols for Sept 21 (free)

A veteran research analyst has given away plenty of free reports over the years — but none have drawn more requests than this one.

Insider sources say Elon has spent two years building a secret device inside Tesla's facilities, one he claims will be "10x bigger than the largest product in history." The reveal is expected September 21.

Today, the analyst is releasing the names and ticker symbols of three stocks positioned to benefit — free of charge.

Uwchlan Launches Winter Road Safety Campaign With Free Skating Event

UWCHLAN TWP — Uwchlan Township is rolling out Snow-Ready Uwchlan, a public safety campaign built on the idea that winter road clearing works best when residents and plow crews cooperate.

The township is asking residents to move vehicles off public roads when snowfall tops one inch, to wait until plows have passed before clearing the end of their driveways, and to avoid shoveling snow into the street. Residents are also encouraged to sign up for ReadyChesCo alerts.

The campaign opens with Winter Kickoff on Ice on Saturday, Nov. 21, from 12:30 to 4 p.m. at Power Play Rinks, 701 Haywood Drive in Exton. The free event features public ice skating, ice bumper cars and a plow touch-a-truck, along with a chance to meet road crews and first responders. Hot chocolate sales will benefit the Uwchlan Police Department, the Uwchlan Ambulance Corps and the Lionville Fire Company.

Hibernia County Park Hosts Guided Bird Walk on Oct. 9

HIBERNIA PARK — A free, family-friendly bird walk is set for Friday, Oct. 9, from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Hibernia County Park. Rangers Lauren Howard and Paul D'Arcangelo will lead it with volunteers from the Valley Forge Audubon Society.

The group will meet at the parking lot near Hibernia Mansion and walk two to three miles along the less-traveled side of the park, mostly on flat forest trails and mowed grass paths. The program is open to all ages and ability levels, with beginners especially welcome.

Participants should bring binoculars if they have them. Restrooms are available on site. The walk is capped at 20 people, and registration is open at chesco.org/parkprograms.
