Olive Street in Caln Township to Close for Two Months for Utility Work

CALN TWP — Pennsylvania American Water will close a section of Olive Street in Caln Township between March 2 and April 30 for utility work. The closure affects the area between Caln Road and 13th Avenue on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Drivers will be detoured via Caln Road, West Chester Road, and 13th Avenue, with local access maintained.

Toll Brothers Plans Major 55+ Community in West Whiteland Township

EXTON, PA — Toll Brothers, the luxury homebuilder based in Fort Washington, has acquired a 100-acre site in Exton for $70 million, where it plans to construct the company's largest age-restricted residential community in the Philadelphia region. The property at 301-305 Church Farm Lane will accommodate 317 housing units designed exclusively for adults aged 55 and older.

The development will be part of Toll Brothers' Regency collection, which specializes in active adult communities featuring maintenance-free living and resort-style amenities. The project will include a mix of townhomes and single-family homes, along with recreational facilities and social spaces tailored to older residents seeking an active retirement lifestyle.

West Whiteland Township approved the development last year, making it the largest residential project to receive township approval since 2020.

Route 113 Lane Closures Wednesday for Turnpike Utility Work

UWCHLAN TWP — The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission will conduct utility work on Route 113 in Uwchlan Township on Wednesday, February 18, causing periodic lane closures between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Both northbound and southbound lanes will be temporarily restricted between Gordon Drive and Lionville Station Road, with flaggers directing traffic. Delays are expected.

State Police Report Multiple Arrests, Ongoing Investigations Across Chester County

EMBREEVILLE, PA — Pennsylvania State Police at Embreeville reported numerous arrests and ongoing investigations across Chester County, including alleged sexual assaults, impaired driving incidents, and a school fight. A 17-year-old reported an alleged sex crime from last summer, while separate investigations involve ChildLine reports and domestic disputes. Multiple arrests were made for driving under the influence, public drunkenness, and drug possession. A traffic stop in Coatesville led to a foot pursuit and arrest. More details at MyChesco.com
