Your Retirement Has a Vulnerability Most Advisors Never Mention.

Dollar-denominated accounts β€” 401(k)s, IRAs, savings β€” are fully exposed to inflation, currency debasement, and government policy. Most financial advisors won't tell you that, because most of them don't profit when you know. Here's what's actually available to you:

  • A Gold IRA uses the same tax protections you already have

  • Physical gold sits outside inflation and banking risk

  • Accounts can go live in as little as 24 hours

  • Zero setup fees, zero-fee buyback guaranteed

  • Free 2026 kit explains everything β€” no obligation

Downingtown Marks Memorial Day With Parade and Services at Kerr Park

DOWNINGTOWN, PA β€” Downingtown Borough will hold its annual Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 25, at 10 a.m., with a remembrance ceremony to follow at the Veterans' Memorial in Kerr Park. Road closures will begin at approximately 8:30 a.m. around Park Lane and the parade staging area near Beaver Creek School. Pennsylvania Avenue between Lloyd and Wallace Avenues, along with adjoining side streets, will close around 9:30 a.m. While most streets will reopen as the parade passes, Pennsylvania Avenue between Manor and Wallace Avenues, as well as Park Lane, will remain closed until the memorial services conclude.

County Honors EMS Providers During National EMS Week

WEST CHESTER, PA β€” The Chester County Commissioners have formally recognized National EMS Week with a proclamation honoring the county's emergency medical service providers for their commitment to public safety. The proclamation specifically acknowledged the EMS personnel from Westwood Fire Company, who were the first to arrive at the scene when Pennsylvania State Police Corporal Timothy J. O'Connor Jr. was killed in the line of duty on March 8, 2026. The recognition highlights the often-unseen efforts of paramedics, EMTs and first responders who serve Chester County communities, and underscores the county's appreciation for those who answer calls during moments of tragedy and crisis.

Community Groups Team Up to Plant Flowers at Downingtown Welcome Sign

DOWNINGTOWN, PA β€” A group of local volunteers came together Friday to plant summer flowers at the Downingtown welcome sign located at the intersection of Routes 30 and 113. The project was a joint effort between Downingtown Strong, Central Presbyterian Church and the Uwchlan Garden Club, with additional support from the borough's Public Works team led by Jack Law. The seasonal planting helps maintain one of the most visible entry points to the borough and reflects an ongoing community tradition of beautifying shared public spaces. Organizers on the Downingtown Strong Facebook page expressed gratitude to the residents who contributed their time and wished the community a pleasant summer.

Cast a Line for Free This Weekend in Pennsylvania Waters

DOWNINGTOWN, PA β€” Pennsylvania will hold one of its two annual Fish-for-Free days this Sunday, May 24, with the second scheduled for Saturday, July 4. On both dates, the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission waives the usual license and permit requirements, opening up the state's lakes, rivers and streams to anyone who wants to try fishing. All other regulations, such as size limits, seasons and catch restrictions, remain in place. For local residents, Lloyd Park in Caln Township offers a convenient destination, with Beaver Creek running through the park. The free days are intended to introduce new anglers to the sport and encourage families to spend time outdoors. More details on Pennsylvania's fishing regulations are available on the state Fish and Boat Commission's website.
