DOWNINGTOWN, PA — Minquas EMS will host a free community CPR and first aid class on Saturday, October 3, at its East Caln Township station, with two sessions available at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Open to all skill levels, the training covers hands-only CPR and AED use and includes a certificate of completion. COATESVILLE, PA — Pennsylvania State Police have made arrests in connection with a series of dangerous incidents on the US-30 Bypass in Valley Township, where heavy debris including rocks and logs was thrown onto the highway on the evenings of August 19 and 21. A 14-year-old and an 11-year-old are accused of deliberately hurling the objects from the roadside onto moving traffic, damaging at least 17 vehicles and injuring two vehicle occupants, though the injuries were not life-threatening.

Both juveniles face several charges, including aggravated assault, propulsion of missiles into an occupied vehicle, propulsion of missiles into or onto a roadway, and recklessly endangering another person. Investigators believe there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward and are asking any drivers who experienced vehicle damage in the area during that time to contact Trooper Cole Zapf at the PSP Embreeville Station.
