A Local Artist's Tribute: Phillies Greats Reimagined on Bryson Stott's Cleats

DOWNINGTOWN, PA — A Downingtown designer, Ryan Stevens of NXT LVL Customs, created custom cleats for Phillies infielder Bryson Stott ahead of Thursday's Field of Dreams game against the Twins. The shoes depict six deceased Phillies legends — Darren Daulton, Harry Kalas, Tug McGraw, Roy Halladay, Robin Roberts, and Richie Ashburn — emerging from a cornfield, inspired by the 1989 film. Bucks County artist Stephen Hatala hand-painted the realistic portraits in five days. Stevens also designed cleats for other players in the game, including Orion Kerkering and Edmundo Sosa. Township Adopts Data Center Zoning Rules as Separate Legal Challenge Looms

EAST BRANDYWINE TWP — East Brandywine Township is distinguishing between two separate data center-related legal processes: its own zoning ordinance amendment adopted July 16, which permits data centers as a conditional use in the township's Commercial Service/Light Industrial district, and a pending validity challenge filed by the owner of 500 E. Reeceville Road. That owner has filed parallel applications with the Board of Supervisors and Zoning Hearing Board arguing the township's ordinance is invalid and proposing to allow data centers by right in the R-2 residential district. The Board of Supervisors hearing deadline has been extended to October 31, and the Zoning Hearing Board deadline to December 31; the owner intends to withdraw the latter application once the former hearing is scheduled. Read the update on the township’s website.
