Two Litters of Kittens Found Nestled in Boxes at Downingtown Lowe's

DOWNINGTOWN, PA — Seven kittens from two litters were discovered last weekend living on a top shelf inside the Lowe's Garden Center on Cornerstone Boulevard in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. Employees needed a forklift to reach them. Lisa Newton of Lucky Dawg Animal Rescue retrieved the animals, estimated to be three to four weeks old, and is now caring for them ahead of adoption. Her organization is also working to locate and spay the two feral mothers believed to have given birth inside the store.

The seven kittens have been given names that reflect their unusual start in life: Forklift, Herb, Pallet, Planter, Grass Seed, Lowe, and Rose.
