Despite forecasts that called for as much as six inches in some southern and western locales, most areas received only a couple of inches. Chester County reached 2.5 inches in East Nantmeal Township and slightly lower totals in surrounding communities, such as Jennersville and West Caln Township. While the snowfall prompted several school closures and caused periodic slowdowns on major highways, road conditions improved steadily throughout the day.

DTown Borough Suspends Residential Parking Permits, Plans 2025 Study

DOWNINGTOWN, PA — Starting January 1, 2025, the Borough intends to end enforcement of Residential Parking Permits for residents in the designated RPPA area, encompassing several streets and avenues throughout the community. This decision comes alongside the award of a grant that will enable a detailed parking study over the course of the year. Officials aim to gather data on traffic patterns, parking demands, and community needs, ultimately determining whether the residential permit program remains necessary and how it might be improved. Once the study concludes, the Borough expects to introduce a more efficient permitting system that addresses the evolving needs of local residents. See the areas affected at the borough’s website.
