Comcast Line Vandalism Leaves Thousands Without Internet Service in Chester County

WEST BRANDYWINE TWP — Chester County authorities are investigating a case of vandalism in which Comcast fiber lines were deliberately cut, causing widespread service interruptions in several communities. Thousands of residents and businesses lost phone, internet, and TV access until repairs were completed on Friday. Police are working with Comcast to locate the individual responsible. This incident is under investigation and anyone with any information regarding this event is encouraged to contact West Brandywine PD at 610-380-8201.

Mysterious Odor Sends Five to Hospital in Glenmoore

GLENMOORE, PA — Chester County officials reported that a group of five people, including four first responders, fell ill after encountering an unusual odor in a Glenmoore home late Thursday. The responders were initially called to the scene to assist a resident who had fallen, but they, along with the individual in need of medical attention, began to feel unwell. Although the county Hazmat team inspected the premises and found no alarming substances, the cause of the odor remains unclear. While the four responders have since been discharged from the hospital, officials have not provided an update on the original patient’s condition. State police are continuing their investigation to determine what may have caused the odor and the resulting symptoms.

Man Charged After Allegedly Threatening Postal Worker in West Chester

WEST CHESTER, PA — West Chester Borough police were called to the 1400 block of Highland Road in East Bradford Township on December 18 following a report of a disturbance involving a postal worker. Investigations led to the arrest of 34-year-old Michael McKean, who faces charges of terroristic threats and simple assault. He was taken into custody without further incident, and law enforcement officials are examining the details of the case to determine any additional actions.
