LIONVILLE, PA — On Friday, Nov. 15, veterans across Chester County can access wellness facilities at the YMCA of Greater Brandywine for free as part of an initiative honoring their service. The day begins with a complimentary breakfast at eight YGBW locations, followed by free access to pools, fitness equipment, and other amenities, available to all veterans without requiring a membership. Veterans need only to show a valid photo ID upon entry. This gesture underscores YGBW’s commitment to honoring veterans, further supported by year-round benefits such as a 10% membership discount and waived Join Fee. Additionally, active-duty members may qualify for free memberships through a partnership with the Department of Defense.

UPPER UWCHLAN TWP — This fall, the Upper Uwchlan Historical Commission is inviting the public to experience the history preserved within the Upland Farm Farmhouse Museum. Open on the last Sunday of each month from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., the museum offers visitors a look into the area's agricultural past through exhibits, artifacts, and restored farmhouse spaces. The farmhouse’s displays highlight the rich heritage of Upper Uwchlan, reflecting the rural character and local stories that have shaped the township. The next public visiting dates are set for November 24 and December 29.

WEST CHESTER, PA - Voters in Chester County who used provisional ballots are reminded to verify their identification by Monday, November 11, at 4:30 p.m. to ensure their votes are included in the final count. Verification can be completed at the Chester County Voter Services Office or by phone. This announcement follows an increased focus on ballot verification, as Philadelphia election officials identified thousands of ballots requiring additional confirmation prior to Election Day. For mail-in voters who have yet to verify their identification, the deadline extends to November 12.
