Friendly ‘Food Fight’ Raises Over 2,200 Pounds of Donations for Local Food Bank
EAST BRADFORD/WEST BRADFORD — In the spirited East Bradford and West Bradford “Food Fight,” residents came together to donate a combined 2,228 pounds of food to the Chester County Food Bank, with East Bradford edging out West Bradford by a slim margin. The food bank, which received all contributions, was declared the true winner, benefiting from the generosity of both communities. Organizers expressed appreciation for the community’s commitment to addressing local food insecurity and anticipate bringing the Food Fight back next year.
Old Caln Historical Society Kicks Off Rotating Exhibits with Spackman-Davis Farm Display
CALN TWP - The Old Caln Historical Society recently unveiled an exhibit at the Caln Township Building, showcasing artifacts and photographs from the historic Spackman-Davis Farm. This installation is part of a planned series of rotating exhibits, each designed to highlight pieces of Caln’s history. The society expressed thanks to the township and volunteers who helped make the exhibit possible and invites residents to contribute their personal photos for future displays. A photo scanning event, set for later today, offers locals a chance to add their own history to the society’s growing archive.
Man Charged in Fatal Shooting of Friend Over Video Game Dispute in Schuylkill Township
WEST CHESTER, PA - A dispute over a video game led to a fatal shooting early Friday morning in Schuylkill Township, where authorities say Holden Hoffsis, 21, allegedly killed his friend, Daniel Gray. Hoffsis, who now faces multiple charges including first- and third-degree murder, is held at Chester County Prison without bail. Officials described the incident as isolated and confirmed that a firearm was recovered at the scene. Additionally, drugs and drug packaging materials were reportedly found in Hoffsis’s possession, underscoring the role of substance abuse in the incident. The investigation, jointly led by Schuylkill Township police and Chester County detectives, is ongoing
