Chester County Government Center Evacuated After Bomb Threat, Voting Proceeds Elsewhere
WEST CHESTER, PA - On Tuesday evening, the Chester County Government Services Center was evacuated following a bomb threat, which temporarily altered voting plans for two precincts. The center reopened after a sweep by the K9 Unit revealed no threats, while voting operations continued with mail-in ballots processed elsewhere. Precincts affected by the evacuation were redirected to neighboring polling sites, with extended hours to accommodate voters. Similar bomb threats were reported in other parts of Pennsylvania and in Georgia, prompting federal investigations. Authorities suspect the threats may have come from foreign sources, though no credible danger has been identified.
