Firefighters Continue to Battle 150-Acre Blaze in Dry, Windy Conditions in Northampton County

BLUE MOUNTAIN, PA - A major brush fire spanning 150 acres near Palmerton has kept fire crews and emergency responders from several counties on high alert. Starting on Saturday, the blaze quickly grew due to dry, windy conditions, pushing responders to deploy helicopters for water drops in inaccessible areas. Local residents have shown strong support, donating food and water to aid firefighters. While some containment has been achieved, particularly on the eastern side of the fire, the cause remains unknown. Crews hope that upcoming rain will help mitigate the situation, but for now, they continue to work against challenging conditions as the community rallies behind them.
