Although it won’t open to the public immediately, the preserved landscape will offer walking trails and natural views for the community, marking a major milestone in local conservation.

Fire Crews Contain Electric Vehicle Blaze in Upper Uwchlan

The blaze, reported at the rear of a business, primarily involved an electric car, which police confirmed upon arrival. Due to the lack of structures or vehicles nearby, the fire posed minimal risk of spreading, and the flames were under control within 20 minutes. The cause of the incident remains under investigation as authorities look into the factors surrounding the electric vehicle fire.

County Fire Ban Forces Postponement of Lights Event to 2026

COATESVILLE, PA — This weekend’s Lights event, has been canceled following a countywide fire ban due to dry weather conditions. Chester County officials issued the fire ban to reduce fire risks, leading organizers to reschedule the event for April 2026.

West Chester Man Sentenced for Abusive Contact on Flight

WEST CHESTER, PA — Edward Decker, 46, of West Chester, has been sentenced to six months in federal prison for abusive sexual contact with a minor on an American Airlines flight. The incident, which occurred on a July 2022 overnight flight from San Diego to Philadelphia, involved Decker inappropriately touching the young victim, who awoke to find him intruding on her personal space. The FBI’s investigation led to his arrest, and Decker later pleaded guilty in May. The U.S. Attorney’s Office, which handled the prosecution, emphasized that it will continue to prioritize passenger safety and hold accountable those who violate it. The sentence includes one year of supervised release and $4,000 in restitution for the victim.
