Celebrate Fall Sustainability Event in Uwchlan Township
UWCHLAN TWP — Uwchlan Township’s Environmental Advisory Council is hosting a fall celebration aimed at bringing together the community while promoting sustainable practices. The event, held at 715 N. Ship Road in Exton, will feature eco-friendly gardening demonstrations and a winter seed sowing session to help attendees prepare for spring flowers.
Participants will also have the chance to take home native tree seedlings, including Allegheny Serviceberry, Hackberry, and Redbud, complete with protective materials. The two-hour event is open to residents of all ages, free of charge, and serves as part of the township’s Heart of Uwchlan initiative, which promotes environmental awareness and community engagement.
Yellow Springs Village Hosts Third Annual Open House and Fall Festival
CHESTER SPRINGS, PA — The historic Yellow Springs Village invites the community to its third annual Open House and Fall Festival on Sunday, October 20, from noon to 4 p.m. Visitors will have the opportunity to tour the village’s 300-year-old landmarks, enjoy live music from the Manatawny Creek Ramblers, and participate in a range of family-friendly activities.
The event lineup includes the Yellow Springs Great Pumpkin Classic, a Jack-O-Lantern exhibition titled Glow for Good, and a haunted history house. Younger visitors can join in on pumpkin painting, games, and trick-or-treating throughout the village. Food and beverage vendors will also be on-site, alongside artist demonstrations.
This rain-or-shine celebration is free and open to the public, offering a perfect way to enjoy the spirit of fall while exploring the history and culture of Yellow Springs Village.
Lanterns and Live Music Illuminate the Night at Plantation Field in Coatesville
COATESVILLE, PA — On an evening devoted to connection and self-reflection, The Lights Fest will transform Plantation Field in Coatesville into a place of celebration and quiet magic. Participants will gather for an event that combines live music and local food with the symbolic release of sky lanterns.
Guests will have the chance to reflect on personal dreams and goals, inscribing them onto lanterns that will be lit with tiki torches and released into the night. Thousands of lanterns rising together will create a moving, communal display of light, making time seem to slow as the glowing orbs drift across the sky.
