Local Effort to Fill Truck With Supplies for Hurricane Helene Victims
CHESTER SPRINGS, PA ā J-Tech, a local business in Upper Uwchlan, has launched a campaign to gather relief supplies for hurricane-affected regions in the southern United States. The āfill a truckā initiative is focused on collecting non-perishable food, bottled water, hygiene products, and other necessities, which will be transported directly to communities in need. Donations are being accepted at their Chester Springs location until Friday, October 11th, and the company is encouraging residents and local businesses to contribute.

WEST BRADFORD TWP ā West Bradford Township has unveiled its new āPreserve & Conserveā Resident Reward Program, aimed at promoting sustainability within the community. The program, created by the townshipās Land Preservation & Sustainability Committee, invites residents to document their efforts in areas such as energy efficiency, waste reduction, and eco-friendly landscaping through a simple application process. Explore the Horse-Shoe Trail With a Guided Hike at Warwick County Park
POTTSTOWN, PA ā Chester County Parks and Preservation is inviting residents to join Ranger Conlow for a guided Columbus Day hike through a segment of the Horse-Shoe Trail in Warwick County Park. The hike, set for Monday, October 14, from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m., will allow participants to explore a picturesque portion of the 140-mile trail that connects Valley Forge National Historical Park with the Appalachian Trail. In Warwick, the trail meanders through a historic forest along the scenic French Creek, providing hikers with an opportunity to appreciate both the natural beauty and historical significance of the area.
Celebrate Fall at Hibernia Parkās Pumpkin Palooza
COATESVILLE, PA ā Hibernia Park will come alive with festive fall activities as Chester County Parks and Preservation hosts its annual āPumpkin Paloozaā on October 18th and 19th. The event, taking place from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday and 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, invites families to bring their own pumpkins for carving and painting with tools provided by the park. A one-mile luminary hike, featuring hundreds of glowing lanterns, will offer a magical evening experience, while cider and sāmores by the campfire add to the seasonal atmosphere. Visitors can also explore the historic Hibernia Mansion with a āMansion Mysteryā tour hosted by the Friends of Hibernia, available for $5 per person. With a mix of creativity, history, and traditional fall activities.
