Main Street Matters Program Accepting Applications to Support Pennsylvania Communities

HARRISBURG, PA — Communities across Pennsylvania have an opportunity to strengthen their downtowns and surrounding neighborhoods through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development’s Main Street Matters program. The initiative, which is accepting applications until November 15, provides funding and support for projects that foster vibrant, welcoming, and secure communities.

Eligible entities, such as local governments, redevelopment authorities, and nonprofits, can apply for grants to support a variety of projects, including facade improvements, business grants, accessible housing, and district-wide development initiatives. Communities may also seek designation as a “Main Street” or “Elm Street,” unlocking more opportunities for targeted investment and strategic development.
