As the camp continues to serve the community, a fundraiser will be held at Twin Valley Coffee at River Station on Tuesday, October 1st, aiming to sustain and expand the program for future participants. West Chester University Symphony Orchestra Kicks Off Season with Free Concert


WEST CHESTER, PA — The Wells School of Music at West Chester University is set to kick off its 2024-2025 season with a concert by the WCU Symphony Orchestra on Friday, September 27. The free performance, led by Maestro Paul Bryan, will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the Emilie K. Asplundh Concert Hall on South High Street. Attendees can expect a diverse program titled “Overtures, Preludes, and Other Musical Hors d’oeuvres,” featuring music by Michael Abels, Giuseppe Verdi, George Frideric Handel, Bedřich Smetana, and Richard Wagner.

DOWNINGTOWN, PA — On Sunday, October 6, the Downingtown Rugby Football Club will host its 2nd Annual Rugby Run 5K at Pickering Valley Elementary School. The event features a 5K race and a 1-mile fun walk to support both the rugby club and All 4 Paws Rescue, a local animal rescue organization. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m., with the race starting at 10:00 a.m.
