Thorndale Fire Company Hosts Annual Open House with Fire Demos and Family Fun


CALN TWP — Thorndale Fire Company invites the community to its annual Fire Prevention Open House this weekend, providing an opportunity for residents to learn about fire safety in a hands-on setting. The event will feature equipment displays, fire extinguisher simulations, and a live fire demonstration, giving attendees an inside look at how local firefighters respond to emergencies. Fire safety information will also be available, emphasizing the importance of prevention in keeping homes and families safe. Alongside these demonstrations, Big Boize BBQ will offer food, making the day a family-friendly event. Free and open to all, the open house aims to educate and engage the community in fire prevention.

West Pikeland to Honor Late Leader with Gazebo Dedication


WEST PIKELAND TWP — West Pikeland Township will honor the late Charles E. “Charlie” Humphreys with a gazebo dedication at Pine Creek Park on October 11, 2024. The noon ceremony will commemorate Humphreys’ significant contributions to the township, where he served as Chairman of the Board of Supervisors. Known for his deep commitment to land preservation and open space, Humphreys played a pivotal role in shaping the township’s landscape through initiatives like the creation of Walnut Lane Park and conservation easements.

Wallace Township Hosts Family-Friendly Halloween Fun at Wagenseller Park

WALLACE TWP — Wallace township is inviting residents to join the fun at this year’s "Trick-or-Treat" celebration, set for Saturday, October 19, at Wagenseller Park. The event, running from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., promises an evening packed with Halloween excitement for the whole family. A variety of activities are planned, including a glow-in-the-dark party, games, and inflatable attractions for children.

One of the main features of the night will be the costume parade, where both children and adults are encouraged to showcase their Halloween outfits for a chance to win prizes. In addition to the festivities, pizza will be served, allowing attendees to enjoy a simple meal while participating in the seasonal fun.
