15-Year-Old Chester County Resident Named TIME Kid of the Year

MALVERN, PA — Dominick Pecora, a Chester County teen, has gained national recognition by making TIME’s Kid of the Year list for his community-driven bike initiative. Pecora began repairing bikes at age 10 to raise funds for a mountain bike, but his efforts quickly evolved into a larger mission. Operating under the name "Dom Fixes Bikes," he initially repaired bikes in his home, later expanding to a storefront in Malvern. Through his nonprofit, Pecora has donated bikes to children, those experiencing homelessness, and students with special needs. His goal of making cycling accessible to all has resulted in over 120 bike donations during last year’s holiday season alone. Community leaders have praised Pecora’s impact, noting his dedication to giving back. For Pecora, cycling is not just a passion but a means of spreading joy and freedom to others.

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Rookie outfielder Weston Wilson made history on Thursday night by hitting for the cycle during the Phillies’ 13-3 victory over the Washington Nationals.
