Starbucks Baristas in Exton Seek Union Election

EXTON, PA — In a significant development for the labor movement, Starbucks baristas in Exton, Chester County, have initiated a petition for a union election. This filing is the first of its kind in the county and follows the formation of the first union at a Buffalo store in 2021. Starbucks Workers United, the union behind this movement, has been rapidly expanding, reaching over 470 stores nationwide. The union's primary objective is to negotiate for better working conditions. Annual Motorcycle Ride to Honor Robbie and Ryan Miller in Downingtown

DOWNINGTOWN, PA — The Downingtown community is preparing for the annual Robbie and Ryan Miller Motorcycle Run, set for Sunday, August 18. The ride will begin at the East Brandywine Fire Company on Bondsville Road and conclude with a dine-and-donate event at PJ Whelihan’s in Downingtown from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m.

The event honors the lives of Robbie and Ryan Miller, with proceeds going towards a scholarship awarded to a graduating senior at Downingtown High School. The motorcycle run and subsequent fundraiser have become a cherished tradition in the community, reflecting the enduring impact of the Miller brothers’ legacy.

Participants in the ride, as well as those attending the fundraiser, will contribute to a cause that supports the educational aspirations of local students, ensuring that the memory of Robbie and Ryan Miller continues to inspire future generations.
