"Let Freedom Ring" Pennsylvania's New License Plates and Signs Announced
HARRISBURG, PA — In a significant update, Pennsylvania is unveiling redesigned license plates and welcome signs. Governor Josh Shapiro introduced the new designs on Tuesday, which incorporate patriotic motifs such as the Liberty Bell and the phrase "Let Freedom Ring." The welcome signs, featuring red and blue text, have been installed in eight locations, including Interstate 80 in Monroe County and Interstate 295 in Bucks County. The new license plates, available in spring 2025, will continue this theme with "Pennsylvania" in red at the top and "Let Freedom Ring" beneath the license number. This redesign, the first major update since 2005, aligns with Pennsylvania's role in the United States' 250th anniversary celebrations in 2026. Residents can sign up for updates on the new plates' availability.

Superintendent Responds to Social Media Incident in Great Valley Schools
GVSD Superintendent, Daniel Goffredo
GREAT VALLEY, PA — The Great Valley School District is dealing with a disturbing social media incident in which middle school students created fake TikTok accounts to impersonate teachers and post offensive content. Superintendent Daniel F. Goffredo expressed his dismay, noting the significant distress caused to the faculty. The inappropriate content targeted about a quarter of the middle school staff, leading to disciplinary actions but no arrests. The district has consulted with local law enforcement and the Chester County District Attorney’s Office, which is evaluating the situation for potential legal actions.
In response, the school has taken measures to address the incident, including assemblies on responsible technology use and temporary suspensions for some students. The district is also focusing on enhancing its digital citizenship curriculum and rebuilding trust within the school community. Goffredo called on families to engage in discussions about the responsible use of social media to prevent similar incidents in the future.
