Collegeville Man's Scheme Defrauds Pet Owners of Nearly $1 Million
Jonathan Nyce, a Collegeville man, was sentenced to 97 months in prison for orchestrating a scheme that defrauded approximately 900 pet owners of nearly $1 million. Convicted of wire fraud and interstate shipment of misbranded animal drugs, Nyce falsely claimed to sell drugs curing canine cancer through companies like “Canine Care.” Operating since 2012, Nyce's websites made false claims about drug efficacy, leading desperate pet owners to pay substantial sums. The drugs, a blend of bulk ingredients, were not FDA-approved. Nyce's actions were deemed criminal and cruel, exploiting pet owners for financial gain.
