Former Attorney Sentenced to State Prison for Supplying Drugs in Husband's Fatal Overdose

In the case of a former Chester County attorney who supplied drugs to her husband, leading to his fatal overdose, Judge Analisa Sondergaard of the Common Pleas Court expressed strong disapproval during her sentencing hearing. Diane Rohrman was criticized for her "extreme indifference" toward her husband's overdose, which she had filmed, showing a lack of care for his well-being. The judge sentenced Rohrman to 18 to 60 months in state prison, well above the standard range for first-time offenders. Additionally, the sentence will run consecutively with her existing sentence for theft of funds in Bucks County. Rohrman had initially pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of involuntary manslaughter but later withdrew her plea before reinstating it. During the hearing, Rohrman acknowledged her actions and expressed remorse for her husband's death, while her attorney highlighted her mental health struggles as contributing factors. The victim's parents emotionally shared the profound impact of their son's loss on their lives. Before delivering the sentence, Judge Sondergaard recognized Rohrman's past mental health challenges but emphasized her ability to overcome them in pursuing a career as an attorney.

Castellanos Makes Big Plays!

In a thrilling extra-inning victory, the Philadelphia Phillies triumphed over the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday, largely thanks to outfielder Nick Castellanos' audacious move. The game, initially appearing as if Castellanos might cost his team the win, ultimately had him making a remarkable play.

In the ninth inning, with the game tied 4-4 and a runner poised at third base, Ronald Acuña Jr. hit a deep foul ball down the right field line at Truist Park. Normally, an outfielder would allow such a ball to drop harmlessly to prevent the runner from tagging home and scoring.

However, Castellanos opted for a different approach. He positioned himself under the foul ball, making an incredible catch while Luke Williams sprinted for home. Castellanos needed a perfect throw to thwart Williams from scoring, and that's precisely what he delivered.

On the Phillies' television broadcast, color commentator John was heard yelling, "Let it go! Let it go! No! Yes!" - a likely reflection of the feelings of many Phillies fans. Nonetheless, it all ended well with Philadelphia securing a 6-5 victory in 10 innings. Castellanos later revealed in his postgame press conference that he felt a baseball version of Jiminy Cricket guiding his decision on that play.

"I don't know," Castellanos said. "I thought I was gonna drop it, and at the last minute, a voice popped into my head and said, 'Catch it, and throw him out.'"

Castellanos' heroics, combined with some clutch hitting from Bryson Stott, allowed the Phillies to maintain their 3.5-game lead in the NL Wild Card race.
