Thorndale and Caln Firefighters Enhance Skills Through Advanced National Training

THORNDALE, PA — Emergency responders from Thorndale Fire Company and Caln Township have completed an intensive National Fire Academy training course designed to enhance their ability to manage high-stakes incidents at critical locations throughout the community.

The six-day program, which concluded Friday, focused specifically on command and control techniques for operations at target hazards—buildings and infrastructure that pose unique challenges during emergencies. The training is intended to strengthen both firefighter safety and community protection during complex incident scenarios.

i2n Angels Brings Capital and Mentorship to Regional Entrepreneurs

UWCHLAN TWP — Chester County Economic Development Council has launched i2n Angels, a new angel investment group providing $50,000 to $500,000 in early-stage funding for technology startups across southeastern Pennsylvania. The member-driven organization offers both capital and mentorship to companies in sectors including software, health tech, biotech, and sustainable energy, with plans to add up to 50 investor members in its first year. Agricultural Partnership Recognizes Innovation and Advocacy in Farming Community

WEST CHESTER, PA — Meghan Klotzbach, a fifth-generation mushroom grower at Mother Earth Organic Mushrooms, has been named Chester County Farmer of the Year by AgConnect. State Representative John Lawrence received the Distinguished Service to Agriculture award for his legislative support of Pennsylvania farmers. Klotzbach's family farm was the nation's first commercial mushroom operation to earn organic certification.

West Bradford Township Offers Free Family Archery Classes

WEST BRADFORD TWP — West Bradford Township and Chester County Parks and Preserves are offering free family archery classes on three Thursday evenings from January through March. Sessions will be held at 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM on January 15th, February 5th, and March 5th, with registration now open online.
