Free CPR and Bleeding Control Classes Coming to Thorndale Next Month

THORNDALE, PA — The Thorndale Volunteer Fire Company will host free CPR and Stop the Bleed training on December 6th, offering two identical sessions from 10 a.m. to noon and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The courses aim to teach local residents life-saving emergency response skills at no cost. Due to limited capacity for hands-on instruction, advance registration is required.

Hibernia Park's Historical Annex Reopens With Updated Exhibits


COATESVILLE, PA — Hibernia County Park's historical annex building has reopened to the public with updated displays and a new orientation video. Located behind Hibernia Mansion, the exhibition space features refreshed content created by park rangers to educate visitors about the park's history. The annex is accessible during regular park hours at no additional cost.

County Invites Residents to Help Plan America's 250th Birthday Celebrations

WEST CHESTER, PA — Chester County is organizing monthly virtual planning meetings to gather resident input for celebrating America's 250th birthday in 2026. The Zoom sessions are open to all county residents and emphasize local participation with countywide collaboration. Additionally, organizers are encouraging community watch parties for Ken Burns' American Revolution documentary series, airing November 16-21, with free planning resources available online.

Toy Drive for Children in Need Continues Through December 4

WEST BRADFORD TWP — West Bradford Township is collecting new, unwrapped toys for the Toys for Tots campaign through December 4. Donations can be dropped off at the township building during regular business hours. The annual initiative helps provide holiday gifts to children from families facing financial challenges.
