The event, which focuses on works under 30 minutes from creators worldwide, has become a recurring fixture on Chester County's cultural calendar. Attendees can find the festival's full schedule online.

Chester County wants your input on its next climate action plan

WEST CHESTER, PA — Chester County planners are inviting residents, workers, and regular visitors to complete a five-to-ten minute survey as part of an update to the county's Climate Action Plan — a policy document that sets the direction for local efforts on emissions, energy, land use, and community resilience. The Chester County Planning Commission is using the survey to gauge public priorities and identify emerging concerns around climate change before finalizing the updated plan. Climate action plans are a common tool for local governments aiming to establish concrete sustainability goals, and public input rounds are typically a key part of keeping those plans current and reflective of community values. The survey is available online.

Police warn of pickpocket ring targeting shoppers at Chester County retail center

TREDYFFRIN TWP — Detectives in Tredyffrin Township have issued a public warning following a series of pickpocketing incidents at Gateway Shopping Center, a retail complex along Route 202 in Chester County. About a half dozen thefts have been reported over the past month at businesses including Trader Joe's, TJ Maxx, and Panera Bread. Police say the suspects work in pairs, using conversation as a distraction while an accomplice lifts phones or wallets from unattended purses. In at least one case, a stolen device was used for fraudulent purchases at the King of Prussia Mall before the victim even noticed it was gone. Authorities are coordinating with Upper Merion Township police, where similar thefts have also been reported. Shoppers are advised to keep bags zipped and close, avoid leaving carts unattended, and stay alert when strangers approach them.
