Downingtown Local Pulse Dinner Club: Meet Your Neighbors Over Dinner!

Downingtown Local Pulse is more than a newsletter. It's how we bring locals together offline, too. That's why we're launching the Downingtown Local Pulse Dinner Club, hosted by our friends at dnnr.io.

We know making new friends as an adult isn't easy. This is a fun, low-pressure way to meet people nearby who share your interests and values.

Here's how it works:

🍽️ Take a quick personality quiz.

✨ Get matched with five other locals based on shared interests, values, food preferences and budget.

📍 Meet for dinner on Tuesday, Oct. 13 at [TIME] at a restaurant in or around Downingtown. We'll reveal it the morning of.

🥂 After dinner, all tables regroup at a nearby spot for a casual meetup.

💵 Booking is $15.99, and it supports Downingtown Local Pulse.
🍝 Each guest pays for their own meal.

Seats are limited, so grab yours soon.

👉 Take the quiz and book your seat at chescopulse.dnnr.io

Got questions? Drop a note in the chat bubble at the bottom right of the Dinner Club page, and the team will help you out.

We can't wait to see who you'll meet, and the connections you'll leave with! 💙

Coatesville Youth Initiative Wins $37,272 NBC Universal Grant

COATESVILLE, PA — The Coatesville Youth Initiative has been awarded $37,272.72 through the 2026 NBCUniversal Local Impact Grant program, joining seven other Greater Philadelphia nonprofits in sharing $227,272 from NBC10, Telemundo62 and Comcast NBCUniversal. The program honors organizations focused on youth education and empowerment, next-generation storytelling and community engagement.

CYI works to help young people succeed in school and in life through youth-led community change. Its programs include the Game Changers Youth Council, which guides activities for local students and residents, and ServiceCorps, which helps teens build leadership skills and work experience through community service. The organization also offers family engagement and prevention programming, and it may use the grant for any organizational need.

You Use AI Every Day. Why don't you own any of it?

You probably opened something powered by AI before your first coffee this morning. Millions of people do. Almost none of them own a piece of it.

That's been the catch with the AI boom — the biggest gains went to insiders and venture funds, while the companies actually building the frontier stayed private and out of reach.

That's starting to change. A wave of AI IPOs is forming, and a few are shaping up to be among the most retail-accessible mega-listings in years — the rare chance to get in near the ground floor instead of reading about the gains after the fact.
