Community Mural at Kennett Library
The Master’s Baker in West Chester

The first mural, located on the wall of The Master's Baker in West Chester, was created by local artist Erica Dehart and took four years to complete. This 50-foot by 17-foot mural, made with mural latex paints, offers a playful challenge for viewers to find 33 hidden hearts within the artwork.
In Kennett Square, another large-scale mural has been unveiled on the side of the Kennett Library. Painted by Al Moretti, this 87-foot by 17-foot piece celebrates the rich history of Chester County. The mural features historical and cultural references, including the Lenape people, Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad, local Latino heritage, Longwood Gardens, and the poet Bayard Taylor. This mural offers a visual journey through the area's diverse heritage and contributions.
These new additions to Chester County not only beautify their respective locations but also serve as important reminders of the community's rich and varied history.
