Is Social Media Hurting Your Child? Your Family May Qualify

Many parents blamed themselves, or their kids, for the hours lost to the feed. But legal claims allege social media companies built in psychological triggers on purpose: intermittent rewards, endless scrolling, toxic social comparison, and recommendation engines that pull kids into content rabbit holes.

Now families are filing legal claims against platforms like Instagram and TikTok.

You may be eligible if:

  • Excessive social media use started under age 18

  • There was a diagnosis of an eating disorder, severe anxiety, depression, or self-harm

ClaimsHero checks whether you qualify for a claim and gets your family justice. Nothing upfront. We only get paid if your claim is successful.

Business Owner Faces New Child Exploitation Charges

SADSBURY TWP — A prominent Chester County business owner already facing child sexual abuse material charges has been hit with more than two dozen additional counts, police said. Investigators say the new counts involve more victims.

According to new court filings, John Lymberis, 57, possessed photographs of teenage girls he knew, which had been manipulated with artificial intelligence to depict them nude. Mr. Lymberis formerly owned Harry’s Hot Dogs and several other businesses in Sadsbury Township.

He was first charged after authorities accused him of exchanging inappropriate messages and images with a 15-year-old girl he met on a messaging app. The investigation began in 2024 with a cyber tip to police.

Mr. Lymberis has not been convicted, and the charges are allegations. Chester County Detectives are asking anyone with information to call 610-344-6866.

Caln Township Names Winners of Community Day Art Show

In the age-based categories, Anneliese won the elementary school division, Jackson took the middle school prize, Ashley G. won in the high school category, and Amy Hall won the adult division.

This year’s show also added a special contest honoring America’s 250th anniversary, focused on the Spackman-Davis Farm. Aiden’s colorful rendering of the farm won and will be printed on the township’s New Resident Welcome postcards.

Residents can see the winning works at the municipal building, where they will be displayed for roughly the next month.

Free Medicare Counseling Coming to West Bradford Township Building

WEST BRADFORD TWP — The Chester County Department of Aging and PA MEDI will offer free Medicare counseling appointments at the West Bradford Township Building on Friday, Oct. 30, and Friday, Nov. 20.

The sessions coincide with Medicare’s open enrollment period, which runs through Dec. 7. During that time, beneficiaries can join, switch or leave Part D drug plans and Medicare Advantage plans, or move back to Original Medicare. Counselors will also check whether residents qualify for programs that help pay for prescriptions or Part B premiums.

PA MEDI is a statewide program of the Pennsylvania Department of Aging. Its trained counselors provide unbiased, confidential help and do not sell insurance or steer clients toward particular plans or agents.

Appointments can be made by calling the Open Enrollment Helpline at 610-344-5234. For help at other times of year, the PA MEDI Helpline is available at 1-800-783-7067, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
