Chester County Studio Tour Returns This Weekend With 59 Artists

WEST CHESTER, PA — The Chester County Studio Tour, one of the region's most anticipated arts events, takes place this weekend on Saturday, May 16, and Sunday, May 17. A total of 59 studios across the county will open to the public, showcasing a wide range of mediums, including painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, and glass.

The self-guided tour is free to attend and gives visitors a chance to step inside working studios, meet the artists, and see how their work comes together. Designed as both a community celebration and a window into the local creative scene, the event invites attendees to set their own pace as they move between locations. "Woven in History" Brings Period Fashion to Hibernia Mansion

COATESVILLE, PA — The Friends of Hibernia County Park will host "Woven in History" at Hibernia Mansion on Thursday, May 21, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., offering visitors a chance to view historical fashions within the preserved setting of the 19th-century home. The event is part of the Chester County Planning Commission's annual Town Tours & Village Walks series, which highlights the county's historic sites through free, themed evening programs.

Interest in the showcase has already drawn early visitors, including David Stephens, known locally for his portrayal of the 1800s charcoal maker. Ranger Erb, who stopped in for a sneak peek of the displays. The mansion's period atmosphere is expected to add context to the garments on view, giving attendees a fuller sense of the era the clothing represents.

Marching Bands From Seven Nations to Converge on West Chester for America's 250th

WEST CHESTER UNIVERSITY — In recognition of the United States' 250th birthday, West Chester University will host the World Association of Marching Show Bands' 250th USA Championships at John A. Farrell Stadium on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. The international competition, a first for the region, will bring marching bands from Italy, Germany, Sweden, England, Puerto Rico, Colombia and Wisconsin to West Chester for a full day of performances, judging and cultural exchange.

Beyond the competition, attendees can sample global cuisine at an International Food Truck Expo running throughout the afternoon. The visiting bands, housed at West Chester University during their stay, will also march in Philadelphia's Salute to Independence 250th Parade on Thursday, July 3, a free event beginning at noon.
