New Rebate Program Pays Chester County Residents to Plant Trees and Build Rain Gardens

OXFORD, PA β€” A new residential rebate program in Chester County is giving homeowners a financial reason to go green. The Chester County Water Resources Authority, working alongside the Brandywine Conservancy, has launched an initiative that makes eligible residents eligible for up to $2,500 in rebates for qualifying green infrastructure improvements, including tree plantings, rain gardens, and similar conservation practices.

To help spread the word, the two organizations are hosting a public workshop on June 25 at 6 p.m. in Oxford, where attendees can learn about program requirements and how to apply. The effort is part of a larger regional strategy to involve private homeowners in stormwater management and watershed protection. Residents can register for the workshop and find full program details at chesco.org/catchtherain.

EAA Chapter 240 will be serving its popular Pancake Breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon, with donuts and refreshments also available throughout the event. Whether you're a car lover, a pilot, or simply looking for a unique and relaxed way to spend a Saturday morning, the event offers something a little different β€” and no shortage of photo opportunities along the way.
