After Postponement, America250 Drone Show Set to Light Up Exton
EXTON, PA β A celebration originally planned for downtown West Chester has found a new home in Exton, as six area municipalities join together to host a free America250 concert and drone show on Thursday, Sept. 3, at Exton Park. The event, organized by the West Chester Area Council of Governments, brings together East Bradford Township, East Goshen Township, West Chester Borough, West Goshen Township, West Whiteland Township and Westtown Township in a regional effort to mark the nation's 250th anniversary.
The evening kicks off with a performance by Yesterday's News Band from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., followed by an America250-themed drone display, though an exact start time for the aerial show has not been announced. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets, with food and beverages available for purchase on-site.
The event replaces a drone show originally scheduled for Aug. 2 in downtown West Chester that was postponed. Those who purchased tickets for that earlier event will now receive access to a VIP area featuring front-row, roped-off seating with complimentary snacks and drinks. General admission to the Sept. 3 event remains free for the public.

New Little Free Library Brings Books to East Brandywine's Youngest Readers

EAST BRANDYWINE TWP β East Brandywine Community Park has expanded its Little Free Library offerings with a new installation placed beside the park's recently added tot lot. Stocked with children's books, the library gives young visitors and their families an easy way to pick up new reading material during a trip to the playground.
The addition was installed by the township's Public Works Department, which park officials thanked for the work. As with the park's existing Little Free Library, the new one operates on a simple take-a-book, leave-a-book system, allowing the collection to be continually refreshed by community members.
Caln Township Seeks Artists for "Caln Outdoors" Community Day Show

CALN TWP β Caln Township has opened submissions for its annual Community Day Art Show, inviting local artists to reflect on the theme "Caln Outdoors." Participants may use any flat art medium, including painting, pastels or photography, to portray scenes that showcase the township's charm β from historic landmarks and scenic parks to farms and backyards.
The contest is open to artists aged 10 and older, with prizes awarded for the top entry in each of three age groups. Submissions that fit the theme will be displayed throughout Caln Community Day, after which they will move to the Municipal Building for continued public viewing.
Artists interested in participating must register and submit their entries by Sept. 8. Additional details, including registration information, are available on the township's website.

From Cop to Camera: How John Thompson of JWTIV Photo Is Redefining Boudoir Photography in Chester County
DOWNINGTOWN, PA β Host Jenny Leigh talks with boudoir photographer John Thompson, who traded a nearly decade-long law enforcement career in Georgia for a fresh start in Chester County after meeting his wife, Victoria. Thompson shares how he built JWTIV Photo into an award-winning boudoir business focused on everyday women β moms, brides, and first responders β rather than models, and how he and Victoria create a comfortable, full-day client experience from consultation to reveal.
He speaks openly about overcoming stereotypes as a male photographer, the professional credentials and training behind his work, and the emotional impact of helping clients see themselves in a new light β an experience that's also been part of his own healing from his time in law enforcement. The episode wraps with a look at what sets his business apart and his love for life in Chester County as a transplant who's made it home.
